The last phase of York County's newest park — New Centre Park in Clover — opened to park-goers in July at the grand opening of the $2.6 million phase. The park includes a new splash pad, amphitheater and a covered shelter with picnic tables.

The splash pad is located in New Centre Park at 499 Memorial Drive, Clover and is open 10 am-noon, 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Sundays. There is no cost to play on the splash pad.

​Clover residents narrowly elected Town Council member Greg Holmes as their new mayor by just one vote, election officials determined after several recounts. 

Holmes (427 votes) defeated longtime Mayor Donnie Grice (426 votes), who has served for seven two year terms.  Holmes has served as a council member and as the director of the Clover Parks and Recreation Department. He took office on
​Nov. 13, 2017.

Easter egg hunt in Patrick Place Park!  Saturday, 4/15 (weather permitting) at 10 am followed by a pot luck lunch at the pavilion. 

Susie Schaffer is organizing and Jen Brewster is assisting. They ask for families to provide at least 10 pre-packaged items (filled plastic eggs, etc.) per child that will participate. Items should be dropped off at Susie's house (160 HIGHLAND FOREST DR) no later than Thursday 4/13.

Each child should bring their own basket and be ready to hunt!  After the hunt everyone should bring a dish to share so the adults can eat while the kids fill up on candy :).
